To be eligible for membership in The American Legion, you must have served at least one day of federal active duty in the United States Armed Forces between the span from December 7, 1941, until a time when the U.S. is no longer at war as determined by Congress: and you must have been honorably discharged or are still serving honorably on active duty.
** Note: Post 239 does not have either a "Women's Auxiliary" or "Sons of the American Legion" organization. See Section "Join Us" for more information on eligibility for forming either or both of these organizational adjuncts to our Post.
